About The Externalist

The Externalist: A Journal of Perspectives was founded in April 2007 by Larina Warnock and Gary Charles Wilkens in an effort to provide an outlet for writers who believed that content in literature was as important as craft.  Since then, The Externalist has published writers and poets at all stages of their careers, from all walks of life, and from all over the world.  These writers have made it their priority to address socially significant issues within their work and to do so in such a way that the reader is entertained, informed, and inspired.  In 2008, the editors decided it was time to expand.  This blog is part of that expansion.
